Honeybear and N in the Crag

N is the Special Person at Pre School this week and I get to create a 2 page A4 document of him and Honeybear - who was in such a bad way when he arrived at our home that he needed plastic surgery and a neck reconstruction. Fortunately I was able to sew him back together. Honeybear has been to some really cool places with the other families from Pre School like Thredbo and a South Coast farmstay. I have had to resort to faking it in the above photos. Neverthess N is the Special Person and it is about him after all. This kind of reminds me of my fantasy holidays in the Carribean where I get to stay with India Hicks and help her with her next Crabtree and Evelyn campaign for Island Home.

Video from the top of Mount Tilga

It's so quiet on the top of Mount Tilga. And it is so flat out here near the centre of NSW.

This is a really good place to come and read a book and just chill out.

The day Pope Benedict came to Sydney

There were lots of road closures and redirections of traffic so we caught the bus around town. Here are our favourite sculptures in Chiefley Plaza. We went to Dymocks and had lunch at the State Library where there was a photographic exhibit of artists in their studios. Now I have lots of ideas for the bottom of our home.
We saw the Pope in the back of his limousine being driven up Macquarie St. He looked smaller in real life but he was very happy even joyful, and why wouldn't he be - surrounded by the youthful energy of the world's countries in Sydney for WYD 2008.

Sydney Aquarium

Looking at the fish under the water at the aquarium was very relaxing. We saw fish from the east coast of Australia, wobegongs, murray cod, blue groper, perch, and eels.
Then from Queensland we saw a display of corals, anenomes and tropical fish. The seals were very playful. The sharks were primitive looking up close.

Mona Vale Beach

To the sea we shall go, with the sand beneath our toes, to see the surfers catch the waves, to watch the gulls and the pelicans play......

Goodbye to Condobolin

Goodbye to High School, early morning Winter assembly on the quad.
Goodbye to the early Spring bulbs in the school gardens.
Goodbye to Wednesday sport and the athletes of the High School.
Goodbye to the red shed that I walked past each day.
Goodbye to the river gums on the banks of the Lachlan River.

GOODBYE CONDO! The memories will last forever and hopefully we will return for a Summer Holiday and all that will bring...........
