Balmoral Beach

Balmoral on a sunny Monday is heaven itself,
The eastern facing harbour waters have all the allure of cut sapphire.
The rhythmic small waves lap the shore,
Catching the ear into relaxation,
Over a latte on the Promenade.

Palm Beach Visit

When you see these photos you have to imagine two Mum's taking a two hour break to catch up in Palm Beach, one who has travelled there by ferry and the other who is going to drive back to the school run after this very short but wonderful respite from routine.

The Bathers Pavillion

Another secret of Sydney - the upstairs art gallery in the Balmoral Bathers Pavillion.

In the Gardens

Walking in The Botanic Gardens in Sydney always lifts the mood. As the sightlines to buildings and the roads and cars melt away, so too does ones everyday stresses and concerns. There is always a new plant to look at with the ever changing seasons. On this visit we looked at the tulip beds and the majestic eucalypt trees that can grow in to their full size and shape here.

Mnemosyne by Rosemary Madigan 1976

The personification of memory - Greek. Poets receive their powers of authoratative speech from their possession of Mnemosyne and their special relationship with the Muses. Mnemosyne is the mother of the nine Muses. There is also a river in Greece named Mnemosyne.
